Come and Go Room (Stanza delle necessità) - Dobby finds this room for Harry's Defense Against the Dark Arts secret meetings. Also known as the Room of Requirement. (vol. 5, p. 386)

Dervish & Banges - Wizarding equipment shop in Hogsmeade.
Diagon Alley - A shopping center for witches and wizards.

Durmstrang - A wizarding school whose whereabouts is kept secret, attended by Viktor Krum, where students actually learn the Dark Arts. (vol. 4, pp. 165 -166)
Eeylops Owl Emporium - Owl shop in Diagon Alley where Hagrid bought Hedwig for Harry.
Florian Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor - In Diagon Alley. (vol. 3, p. 50)
Flourish and Blotts - School supply store in Diagon Alley.
Forbidden Forest (Fopresta proibita) - The grounds at Hogwarts that are generally off limits to students. (vol. 2, p. 269)
Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop in Diagon Alley. (vol. 2, p. 56)
Godric's Hollow - A muggle village where Lily and James Potter lived. It is also the place where Voldemort killed them.
The Great Hall (Sala Grande)- The main hall in Hogwarts where the Sorting Ceremony takes place and where meals are served. The ceiling has been bewitched to look like the sky.
Gryffindor House - One of the four houses at Hogwarts. It was founded by Godric Gryffindor. The house symbol is a lion. The resident ghost is Sir Nicolas de Mimsy-Popington, also known as Nearly Headless Nick. Professor McGonagal is head of Gryffindor and Professor Dumbledore was in Gryffindor in his youth. Harry, Hermione, and the Weasleys are in Gryffindor House.
Gringotts - A banking institution for witches and wizards.
Grunnings - Uncle Vernon's drill-making company.
The Hearing Room - Located in the Ministry of Magic; where Harry goes for "his disciplinary hearing into offenses committed under the Decree for Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery and the International Statute of Secrecy." (vol. 5, pp. 137-138)
Hogs Head Inn (Testa di porco) - A "dodgy" pub or bar in Hogsmeade where a lot of "funny folk" hang out; Harry holds his first secret meeting of Dumbledore's Army here. (vol. 5, pp. 336-337)
Hogsmeade - The site of the 1612 goblin rebellion (listed in Sites of Historical Sorcery) and the only wizarding village in Britain. It boasts a wonderful array of shops including Honeydukes and The Three Broomsticks Pub. It is located near Hogwarts.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - The place where most of Harry's adventures take place.
Honeydukes (Mielandia)- A sweet shop in Hogsmeade. (vol. 3, p. 151)
Houses at Hogwarts - Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw. Named after four headmasters.
King's Cross Station, Platform 9 3/4 - A train station in London from which the Hogwarts Express departs. (vol. 1, p. 90)
The Knight Bus (Nottetempo) - A triple decker bus that offers emergency transport for witches and wizards. At night, it has no seats, but provides a brass bedstead and a candle beside each bed for the riders. (vol. 3, p. 77)
Knockturn Alley (Nocturn alley) - A seedy place where Harry mistakenly winds up when he takes Floo powder for the first time.
Leaky Cauldron (Paiolo magico) - A grubby-looking pub, behind which lies Diagon Alley. (vol. 3, p. 41)
Little Hangleton- Town where the Riddle family home is located; where Tom and his parents are found dead. (vol. 4, p. 2)
Little Whinging, Surrey - Town where Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley Dursley reside. (vol. 5, pp. 3, 10)
Madam Malkin's - A Shop in Diagon Alley selling wizarding robes for all occasions. (vol. 3, p. 41)
Madame Pudifoots (madama Piediburro) - A frilly little tea shop in Hogsmeade where Harry and Cho go for their first date. (vol. 5, p. 559)
Magical Menagerie - Wizarding Pet Shop in Diagon Alley.
Magnolia Crescent - Where Harry first sees Sirius. (vol. 5, p. 9)
Ministry of Magic - Government agency that tries to keep witches and wizards secret from non-magical people. The entranceway is an old red telephone box (booth) that is heavily graffitied and has broken windows. (vol. 5, p. 125)
Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom (Bagno di Mirtilla Malcontenta) - The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets.
Number 4 Privet Drive - The Dursley's residence in Little Whinging; the place that we first meet Harry.
Number 12 Grimmauld Place - Former home of Sirius's deceased mother; A location similar to Platform 9 3/4 in its way of materializing; headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix and the Anti-Voldemort Movement (vol. 5, pp. 59, 160)
Ollivander's - A company in Diagon Alley that sells wands. Their motto is Makers of fine wands since 382 B.C.
Order of the Phoenix Headquarters - Located at Number 12 Grimmauld Place; Houses a secret society, founded by Dumbledore, consisting of those who fought against You-Know-Who. (vol. 5, p. 67)
Purge & Dowse, Ltd. - Large old-fashioned red brick department store in London, with a "shabby, miserable air" and a "Closed for refurbishing" sign in the window, where St. Mungo's Hospital is located. (vol. 5, p. 483)
The Room - A secret place in the Ministry of Magic. (vol. 5, pp. 771-772)
Room of Requirement (Stanza delle necessità) - A person can only enter this room when they have a real need for it; always equipped for the seeker's needs; where secret meetings of Dumbledore's Army were held. Harry and Cho shared their first kiss after the final meeting of D.A. before Christmas break; also known as the Come and Go Room. (vol. 5, pp. 386, 387, 452, 457, 606, 617)
Row 97 - A place in the Department of Mysteries where Voldemort was torturing Sirius. (vol. 5, p.726)
Shreiking Shack (Stamberga strillante) - Most haunted dwelling in Britain, also with an historic past. (vol. 3)
St. Brutus's Secure Center for Incurably Criminal Boys - The school Harry supposedly attends (vol. 5, p. 11)
St. Mungo's Hospital - For magical maladies and injuries; located behind Purge & Dowse, Ltd.. (vol. 5, p. 466)
Slytherin House - One of the houses at Hogwarts. Founded by Salazar Slytherin. Symbolized by a snake. The resident ghost is the Bloody Baron. Harry's archenemy, Draco Malfoy, is in Slytherin House. Professor Snape is head of Slytherin.
Three Broomsticks (Tre manici di scopa) - A pub in Hogsmeade.
Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes (Tiri vispi Wweasley)- The store owned by Fred & George Weasley in Diagon Alley, financed by Harry from his Triwizard Tournament winnings. (vol. 5, p. 675)
Wisteria Walk - Where Mrs. Figg lives. (vol. 5, p. 2)
Zonko's Joke Shop - Sells such entertaining items as stink pellets, belch powder, whizzing worms, frog spawn soap, nose-biting teacup, dungbombs, hiccup sweets, etc; located in Hogsmeade
